Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother

Honor Thy Father and Thy Mother

They love us unconditionally, they watch over us untiringly, protecting and preserving  us of all the harm. We are because of them. Our success is because of their numerous selfless sacrifices. They hold our hands when we tumble. They Show us the right path.

“OUR PARENTS”

What a precious bond we share with them. They are our guiding lamp. The strong  pillars of our life.

But…….

"Why & How this bond shakes with time when we are growing up"
"Why we distance from them when they need us the most"
"How our priorities change when their‘s remained only their children throughout the time"
Why we stop respecting them?

Profession, career, ambitions, personal life, nuclear families gain supremacy all over us.
Why we cannot hold their hand, gain from their wisdom and lead the journey of life together. Blessings of parents are like the fresh rays of sun, soothing our souls is their warm hug.

I belong to a very humble background. My parents being very hardworking to the core.
I have seen them struggling the waves of hardship. Sharing all they have equally amongst their kids (Three of us). With all their affection and care they have given us sensibilities.

I am married now, residing in same city where my parents live. I make it a point to pay them my visit at least ones a week, sharing their stories, listening to their tales, having meal with them. Kissing, hugging and loving them.  Believe me it’s all that they need, their blessings & smiling faces is all that  I need. They are my roots,  I derive all my strength from them.

Ego kills any relationship. We should love, care, respect and spend as much time as possible with our parents.
Cherish this bond for lifetime, ones gone will never come back.

(A Short poem thanking The Almighty for my beautiful parents)

Thank You Lord for these blessings

Life without them would be depressing

Thank You Lord for this soothing shelter

For without them life is forever in Swelter

Lord, grant me strength, Grant me wisdom

So I could walk the path of life in their light

Grant me Humility, Grant me Tranquility

So I forever “Honor my father & my Mother”

Lets Walk Together........

Lets walk together.......
Hands in Hands..........

Caress each other......
Heart To Heart..........

Behold Each other.....
Soul to Soul ...........

Uprooting agony...
creating joy...
Diving together the ocean of love...

Our paths undivided our thoughts attached
We reach new heights with our instincts matched

For life is full of charms & harms
Lets take this journey arms to arms.....

Cleanliness is next to Godliness

“Cleanliness is next to Godliness”

My Lord almighty saves our souls!
For we are buried under debris of our deeds.
We criticize, use sarcasm, but change is what difficult to bring in.
Our deeds and thoughts contradict each other.
We wish new government to bring in development to uplift our society, but are we ready to inculcate a change for good within ourselves first.
Decluttering the mind of all the crap and refueling it with positive thoughts is the need of time.
Many abused, made fun of swatch Bharat Abhiyaan as a publicity gimmick but how many of us pledged to keep our surroundings clean?
The answer is clear, we want the change, but are not ready to change ourselves.
To bring in the cleaner surroundings first we need to dejunk our thoughts.
All need to deeply inculcate the healthy hygienic practices.
We all need to behave ethically and teach the new generation the same values.

People pee, spit,  litter anywhere and everywhere.
We are so consumed of arrogance and laziness the result is we are leaving behind muddled atmosphere for our coming generation.

Ever think of the sanitation staff, do we expect them to collect our leftovers from ground, clean our spit, from all over. They are humans too!
It’s the least effort to use dustbins and behave ourselves.

People in the name of religion throw away all the puja leftovers in the river including “the most holy polythene bags”. In pretext of such a act we our killing the aquatic life, harming the marine ecology.
The disfigured “used” idols of God & Goddess can be seen left under the mercy of some tree. Is this not littering the ones pious holy statues of our lord.
We say this is ‘human tendency but it is the high time we really need to change this so called tendency of littering.
Let’s all step forward and pledge to practice cleanliness in all possible ways and make alive the age old idiom “Cleanliness is next to Godliness”.
