Bundles of Joy

Babies are joy.  To see them play, laugh, giggle effortlessly can make any person smile with satisfaction after a tiring day at work. Kids have the magical power to fill our hearts with overwhelming emotions. You can go to any extent to make their life comfortable and happy. My cousin’s daughter – ‘Priyam, Apple of our eye’, was almost approaching her first birthday and couldn’t even crawl for the shortest duration or distance. It appeared that she made all efforts but in vain. She couldn’t move her legs comfortably. She was getting more irritable with time and even used to cry a lot. Though all her other milestones were just going fine.

Initially we tried home remedies, massages etc., but no relief came up. Everyone got worried and we consulted her pediatrician. She thoroughly examined her, analyzed her milestones, and checked her bones, strength etc. To our relief all test and reports came out to be normal. The pediatrician advised that we wait and watch for some more time. Even we gave it a thought, that unnecessarily all are getting impatient. Some children pick up certain things late than others, but this doesn’t mean they are less or weak.

Priyam was adopted by my cousin a few months back; against the wishes of her relatives consequently they started commenting offensively about Priyam’s physical ability. What even made us irritable at some time. Amidst all these sarcasm our love for Priyam increased day and night. She completed the family picture and enjoyed being pampered by her mom and dad.

Around a month passed and it was her first birthday. I planned to make goodie bag, containing all useful items for her. I went to the supermarket and came across Pampers Premium Care Pants. I found them to be extremely child friendly, soft with features of a good absorbent and easy to wear. Along with other stuff like soft toys, clothing, baby bath care products I also bought Pampers Premium Care Pants for Priyam.

The birthday party was in the evening at their home with only close friends and immediate family members. As it was Sunday I went at their home in morning to meet the tiny angel and help her mother with preparations. I gave her the oil massage and made her wear the Pampers Premium Care Pants, I bought for her. My Cousin and I got busy preparing food, decorating the room and the baby was engaged with her toys. That day was special; I saw a pink shining charm on Priyam’s face. She looked her happiest. After done with some kitchen chores we went out to look for the baby, and to our surprise we saw her standing holding the centre table at the living room, though it was for only a few seconds but that moment was seized forever in our hearts. Tears rolled down our face and we hugged her tight. It was a moment of ultimate freedom for Priyam. She rejoiced further looked at us with her twinkling eyes and smiling face.
