Love you Dad………..

'My Papa- My Armour, My Strength'
The bond of a father and a daughter is very special one. The relationship they share is beyond any description. This attachment can be only be felt heart to heart. For any girl it goes like “My daddy is the strongest and the best”. And it’s very true fathers are like strong walls of protection in disguise. Fathers are the blessings of God.

These thirty years of my life has been like a roller coaster ride, but I always felt safe and secure inside the shield provided by my Dad. He was always the first one to lift me up whenever I fell. The one I trust most with difficult decisions. He is my counselor, guide and my mentor.

Getting less time with Dad now as I am married and settled in my new life, but I have many wonderful memories of all the moments we have spent together. Dropping me to school whenever it rained, helping me with Chemistry, cutting up his own needs and expenditures to fulfill my wishes, patiently bearing my tantrums and mood swings, taking me to Karate classes in the evening, playing chess and badminton together and storytelling sessions whenever time allowed, these are few of the beautiful moments where my Dad taught me about success and failure, courage and fear, honesty and disgrace, faith and doubt. Though getting rare but these are some of the most important values we need to imbibe in our daily life. It’s a blessing to have your father’s hand on your head. They make us strong but with all the love and care.

Life keeps on moving ahead where comes a time when we get too busy in our personal lives that we hardly spare sharing any moment with our parents. Office, friend circle, socializing, personal needs are like vicious cycle which keeps us pre occupied always. Moving ahead and being progressive is very good for life but one should never stop showing loving concerns for parents. With their numerous sacrifices and hard work, they have made us what we are. Why do we stop making them feel loved and happy? Nothing is more comforting then a soothing touch of parents.

My Dad played a very important role in my life. I want him to always feel proud of me. I wish to warmly hug my Dad and tell him how much I love him. I wish to thank my Dad but not only with words but with deeds, by being a responsible person and always following the path and light shown by him.

I am participating in the '#HugYourDad' activity for Vicks India in association with BlogAdda.
