Life, Love & Destiny....

Those solemn ties with promises in heart,
What my soul felt was a ceremony at large.

Those honest connections with innocence in heart,
What my lips whispered was the rhythm to start.

Those pleasing cuddles with yearnings loud,
What my eyes found was the angel in crowd.

Those loving glance and melodious songs,
What melts my heart was the hug so strong.

Those memories of spring, when flowers bloom,
What blossomed my heart was holding your hand.

Those winds and drizzling and soothing the hot,
What soaked me over was the love all above.

Embracing each other one sweet November,
We took the vows to never depart.

That cold December played the evil,
What pulled us away was the devil in disguise,
Leaving our heart burning with passion…..

When love is so pure then why lovers part?
The game of destiny and puppet we are,
Fulfilling duties with a purest heart,
Sharing, caring we walk ahead…………

  3. The pathos at the end of your poem really moved me. The question "When love is so pure then why lovers part?" Destiny really plays an ugly trick at times. Beautifully penned, Swati. It was a treat to read this poem :)

  4. It's sad how life plays a villain in a love story. I don't like when love stories end on a sad note, but we can't play masters with fate.

    Beautiful poem, Swati.

    1. The last para is the part of most love stories.
Or rather I can also say that love is a endless journey.
