The unsettled life.....

It has been almost 9 years of my employment life. Fresh out of college, I immediately got my first placement. It was an awesome feeling to be able to live an independent life. At that time I stayed away from home for almost 4 years. It was indeed the learning phase. There after I got married in Delhi and was lucky again to find a decent job for myself.

All these years, I had been a fiercely independent person, highly committed to my job. I had always loved my job and ready to invest all of my blood and sweat to it. But since last 6 months some unknown bug has bitten me, I am developing a sort of aversion to this routine of mine. This concept of 9:00 to 6:00 has starting hitting me hard. It tires me to hell. I am no more willing to continue this trail of my life. Strange enough for a person like me.  Sometimes I feel like being in a churning machine.

My current job is good, my team is highly supportive, and I get to work with like - minded people on different projects which even required traveling to different places.  There are no qualms with the job. But something inside me holds me back. Literally I have to drag myself to office every day. And now sooner or later I have to decide on alternatives.

I know now for sure that I want some change. Being financially independent is essence of life. And I have to decide – what next? Though some start up ideas revolve around my head, I have a vague layout of a plan but need to do a concrete workout before I take this plunge.

Undergoing this extreme unsettled phase of my life where I may require starting things from a scratch, scares a lot.  But I have unflinching confidence in my Lord, faith in self and a partner to bank upon. I know I can adjust and work even harder. I believe in Karma and shall continue my deeds relentlessly. Rest, time will unfold what comes next.

Parenthood / Surrogacy

Parenthood is a sacred thread. The bond so unconditional that can melt even the hardest of hearts. To nourish your progeny inside you and see it grow, twinkle and flourish is an unmatched phenomenon. These are the promises of pure love. But yes, not all couples are lucky enough. What all I have read about and see around me the rates of people facing fertility issues is rising rapidly. Late marriages, career goals, stressful life style eventually advanced age (tickling biological clock) can be called the main culprit.

Still, hope is rekindled thanks to advanced medical science and new improved reproductive techniques and even the available options of Surrogacy.

A surrogacy arrangement or surrogacy agreement is the carrying of a pregnancy for intended parents. There are two main types of surrogacy, gestational surrogacy (also known as host or full surrogacy). Here, the pregnancy results from the transfer of an embryo created by in vitro fertilization (IVF), in a manner so the resulting child is genetically unrelated to the surrogate. In traditional surrogacy (also known as partial, genetic, or straight surrogacy), the surrogate is impregnated naturally or artificially, and the resulting child is genetically related to the surrogate. With reference to the latest news regarding Tusshar Kapoor becoming a single father through Surrogacy, clearly shows how advanced our society has become. It’s good, kudos to the courage of Mr Kapoor. But I have some reservations regarding this thing. I saw media highly appreciative of Mr Kapoor’s thought process. Its fine, this is his personal choice. But, doesn’t a child need both parents, Mother and Father? If he was so yearning to have a child he should have married and then gone for such procedures. Or if marriage is not his choice he should have looked out for adoption possibilities as a single male parent.

Shouldn’t laws governing surrogacy be more well defined?  No doubt surrogacy is a commendable job as it gives light and hope to couples struggling with fertility issues but shouldn’t be laws more stringent so that no one dares to take it for granted. Should it be allowed to single person (male or female)?  Is it good to commercialize surrogacy?

I am not at all against surrogacy, it is admirable and praiseworthy but it should be reserved only for couples who actually face reproductive problems. By no means it should become a trend.

Pleasures…

Behind that dense cloud is some divine pleasure
Laden in silk is the delicate treasure

Crossing those pathways is forbidden
For Passions and ecstasy lay hidden

Fragrance of love subjugates my senses
Those sultry desires break all fences

What burns inside is the secret desire
With you around I rise higher and higher

Those pearls of bliss my being adorn
And more I yearn for the joy borne…
