Humming this beautiful Bollywood song since morning takes me back to school days, remembering the good times, teenage crushes, scooty drives, ferns bakery, cantonment, churches, friendship, letters, cards, gifts, flowers….&…. It used to be so much fun.

Drenching in rain , short skirts, loitering in Butler plaza,  sneak peek, school events, times immemorial, some memories fade, some feelings last forever………………..

Making a shift from teenage crushes, lovelorn songs, this season I completely pledge myself to humanity, to humanitarian causes.

Being born to love and to spread love, I am too much sensitive to be practical at times. And who says to love one need to be practical. To love to care, to harvest humanity we just need a kind heart, loving soul, honest thoughts, faithful support.

My heart melts in desperation when I see a begging & an abused kid, seeing a hard working rickshaw puller, stray dogs, orphan kids, diseased people, and old age loneliness.

 It’s time  for me now to put thoughts into action, to help my fellow beings in whatever way I can, be it Sharing & caring, celebrating my joys, spending time with them.

Sharing our good fortune with our fellow beings who need us is the greatest purpose of life. No joy is equivalent to the joy of sharing and caring.

If each one of us shares some part or some aspect of our life with the deprived fellow beings the world would indeed become a pleasant place to live.

We continue to dwell ourselves on ego, self-obsession and we forget life without a purpose is causing a decay in society.

We should make our lives worthwhile by helping the needy as much as we can.

This is love.

This valentine let’s fill our heart with compassion & empathy, stepping out of our cocoon, lets pledge to serve humanity.
